More than 100 startups have been registered by ISRO after the opening of space sector for all the private players

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology Mr.Jitendra Singh has stated that the future belongs to technology combined with innovation, innovative start-ups sustained by evolving technologies, & fresh ideas.

Singh was giving an exclusive interview with the government’s media agency Press Information Bureau (PIB), where he outlined priorities for the coming year regarding STEAM.

While the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has registered over a hundred startups since opening to the public, he also revealed that India’s first human space mission, Gaganyaan, is on track for launch in 2024 and as such the Deep Ocean Mission, led by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, is poised to make significant contributions to India’s development.

Singh stated that the globe is about to end the first half of the 21st century and that the next few years would prove that century to be India’s. The scientific community in India is flourishing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, since Modi has created a climate conducive to innovation and has abandoned policies that may have stymied India’s rise on the international stage.

A quantum leap in our scientific advances has been made possible under Prime Minister Modi, according to Jitendra Singh, and the PM has also increased the global respect for scientific ability. Most of the top science and technology companies in the world are currently headed by Indians, he noted.

According to the Minister, this year is especially significant because India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is hosting the Group of Twenty and is also the country on whose initiative the entire community is celebrating “International Year of Millets.” India’s key scientific efforts at the end of the quarter of the present century have already positioned it as a first-line nation on this planet, from drone policy to economic growth, from the unlocking of Space to modern geospatial rules.

The minister declared that with the Union Cabinet’s approval of the Green Hydrogen Mission last week, India has entered a new era of self-sufficiency, or Atmanibhar Bharat, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In particular, he mentioned that the initial Green Hydrogen Fuel Bus was developed at the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is part of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
