Kingston’s DDR5 server RAM has been validated on the 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor

Kingston Technology has recently announced that its Server Premier DDR5 4800MT/s Registered DIMMs in 64GB, 32GB, and 16GB capacities have received validation on the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processor (previously known as Sapphire Rapids). The company provides server memory and Data Center (DC) SSDs designed to handle the most demanding workloads and cater to the global need to store, manage and instantly access vast volumes of data, both in traditional databases and Big Data infrastructures.

For more than 35 years, leading server manufacturers and the world’s largest data centers have relied on Kingston as their memory brand of choice. Server Premier, Kingston’s industry-standard memory solution, is sold by specification and specifically designed for use in white-box servers. It is platform-validated and qualified by top motherboard and system manufacturers. Kingston’s server memory solutions feature a locked BOM (Bill of Materials) to ensure consistent branding and revision of primary components, including DRAM, register, PMIC, SPD hub, thermal sensors, and PCB. All Kingston server memory solutions undergo 100% testing and a stringent dynamic burn-in process at the factory to detect early-life failures.

Intel’s 4th Gen Xeon Scalable Processor is the company’s first processor to support next-generation DDR5 server-class memory. It features eight memory channels that can be arranged in up to two DIMMs per channel or 16 DIMMs per CPU socket. At 4800MT/s, each DDR5 Registered DIMM provides a peak bandwidth of 38.4GB/s. When grouped in multi-channel configurations, they offer a significant performance improvement over DDR4-based servers. DDR5 introduces advanced features such as on-die ECC (ODECC), double the number of banks and burst length, improved refreshes, a power management circuit (PMIC), additional temperature sensors, decision feedback equalization (DFE), and dual independent 32-bit subchannels (40-bit for ECC). These features make the memory subsystem more reliable and efficient.

Kingston Technology not only provides server memory, but also offers a range of storage solutions, including Enterprise SATA 3.0 and NVMe Data Center (DC) SSDs. These storage solutions are specifically designed with a rigorous set of development requirements and undergo thorough testing.

Kingston’s SATA Data Center SSDs are built for data centers and efficient client systems, and provide reliable high-performance, low-latency drives. Meanwhile, Kingston’s NVMe Data Center SSDs deliver exceptional Quality of Service (QoS) demands for extensive daily tasks to mission-critical information, with extreme speeds. Kingston’s product lineup offers a wide range of options for enterprises to choose from.
