Jio leads Rajasthan with 1.03 lakh new subscribers, TRAI Report

In February 2024, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Jio) showcased its dominance in Rajasthan’s telecommunications landscape by attracting 1.03 lakh new wireless subscribers, as per the latest TRAI report. This significant increase in subscribers reaffirms Jio’s leading position in the market, bolstering its already extensive user base. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel and BSNL also experienced growth, adding 55,659 and 18,740 subscribers, respectively, during the same period.

However, Vodafone Idea faced a setback, losing 47,637 existing subscribers in Rajasthan. With a substantial cumulative subscriber base of 2.66 crores in the region, Jio has further solidified its foothold by launching 5G services in over 350 towns and cities, boasting the most extensive 5G coverage in the state.

In addition to its impressive subscriber growth, Jio’s deployment of 5G services across Rajasthan underscores its commitment to innovation and technological advancement. With its widespread coverage, Jio aims to provide seamless connectivity and enhanced digital experiences to users across the state. As a result, the telecom industry in Rajasthan continues to witness dynamic competition, with Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL striving to maintain their positions amidst Jio’s formidable presence. With a total telecom subscriber count of 6.63 crores as of February 29, 2024, Rajasthan remains a crucial battleground for telecom operators, as they vie to capture market share and cater to the evolving needs of consumers in the region.
