Resumod’s versatile mission spans both B2C and B2B models, providing users with AI-driven interview preparation, resume parsing, and job-matching functionalities. Additionally, the platform offers 19 resume formats, including a lifetime free option, while also catering to universities and staffing companies through tailored solutions for enrolled students and streamlined resume processing for clients, respectively.

Prateek: What was your motivation to build a platform like Resumod?
Rajat Vashishta: Resumod is part of my attempt to democratize access to professional resume-building tools. The main focus was to make it affordable to all. Having worked for over a decade in the field of career services, I realized the importance of creating the right resume in order to succeed in one’s job search and career. Most job-seekers are in need of professional resume-building platforms but are unable to afford them at premium prices. Hence, Resumod came up as a tool that is easy to use and cost is negligible.

Prateek: How is Resumod harnessing Artificial Intelligence to optimize its tools?
Rajat Vashishta: Resumod uses advanced AI algorithms to analyze resumes. This allows the system to read resume formats of various types to accurately capture elements such as qualifications, skills and experience. Resumod’s parsing technology makes way for a streamlined screening process, thereby reducing the need for manual intervention.
Another tool provided by Resumod is the Interview Preparation feature for individual users. This is also powered by AI to predict the probable interview questions for particular roles and help the candidate prepare accordingly.
Resumod’s job-matching feature is also driven by AI. The AI-powered system matches resumes with suitable jobs by analyzing both the resume and the job description. This results in the users receiving accurate job recommendations, leading to higher success in job prospects.
Prateek: Tell us about Resumod’s collaboration with various stakeholders.
Rajat Vashishta: In the past, Resumod had collaborated with platforms like Internshala and HelloIntern to provide internship recommendations to our users. Currently, we are looking at strengthening our collaborations with HR Tech companies and tech businesses to provide better recommendations, AI suggestions and even job prospects to our users.
Engaging with our users and obtaining their feedback is also something we have been doing through our workshops. These workshops give us an idea of what job-seekers are looking for and the challenges faced by them. Resumod’s Personal Website feature was introduced as a result of one such workshop. This feature enables users to create their mini-website in 5 clicks and even get a URL for them to share.
Prateek: What does Resumod include apart from resume-building?
Rajat Vashishta: At Resumod, we are also looking at assisting job seekers to make informed career decisions. We are working on features that will help our users by providing insights regarding the job market. This will help them choose career paths wisely.
Apart from this, we are planning to come up with features like video resumes and live interviews.
On the other hand, we are also working with staffing agencies to bring about solutions that will help them find the right candidates faster.
