Huawei and Its Partners Won Intelligent Digital Transformation Awards at the Glotel Awards 2023

At the 11th annual Global Telecoms (Glotel) Awards, Huawei, in collaboration with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) Indonesia, secured the Driving Digital Transformation Award, and with China Mobile, clinched the Telecoms Excellence Award. Hosted by Telecoms.com — Informa’s telecom industry media, Glotel recognizes companies that make exceptional contributions to the evolution and transformation of the communications industry. These accolades serve as a testament to the innovative strides and business accomplishments of Huawei and its partners in the digital transformation landscape.

Amid the burgeoning development of technologies such as 5.5G and AI large models, intelligent digital transformation has emerged as a strategic focal point for global carriers. With a rich history of over 20 years in the field, Huawei and its partners consistently prioritize user experience, highly efficient operation, and value creation as the ultimate objectives of transformation. Various carriers have achieved notable milestones in diverse scenarios, following distinct transformation paths. IOH Indonesia and China Mobile stand out as prime examples of best practices in intelligent digital transformation on a global scale.

Similarly, IOH collaborates with Huawei to drive digital O&M transformation, embracing a holistic transformation concept of people, platform, process, and criteria (3P1C). IOH, in partnership with Huawei, pioneers intelligent digital “product portfolio” solutions in intelligent O&M, network optimization, and experience management, resulting in enhanced network stability and user experience. Furthermore, IOH conducts operation maturity assessments, fostering automation and closed-loop management across multiple service and technology scenarios. Notably, the network operation center (NOC) witnesses a 33% reduction in trouble ticket quantity and a 64% decrease in complaint ticket quantity. Meanwhile, network traffic sees an 8.4% increase, and app experience witnesses significant improvement.

As cloud computing technologies gain widespread application and development, DevOps, based on cloud-native technologies, encounters new challenges in the era of intelligent digital transformation. China Mobile is spearheading cloud-native evolution and DevOps transformation through the construction of a DevSecOps platform. Collaborating with Huawei, China Mobile Jiangsu has implemented DevOps practices based on this platform at Huawei’s BSS project. This collaboration has resulted in the establishment of delivery capabilities, including agile development, CICD pipeline, gray release, and AI-based intelligent O&M. The platform has facilitated comprehensive transformation in cloud-native architecture, digital delivery, and intelligent O&M, reducing the requirement delivery period and issue resolution period by 50% and 49%, respectively. Furthermore, the self-healing rate of system process faults has improved by 90%.
