Honda files patents for two new electric scooters in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd Unveils Patents for ‘Dax e:’ and ‘Zoomer e:’ Electric Scooters Targeting Last-Mile Delivery Agents, Featuring a Simplistic Design and Low-Speed Capabilities with 80km Range and 25 kmph Top Speed.

Honda introduces the Honda Dax e: and Honda Zoomer e: electric scooters with a distinctive and practical design. These quirky-looking scooters feature a single seat and are equipped with a Bosch-sourced hub motor, enabling a maximum speed of 25kmph. This low-speed capability allows them to be classified as electric scooters exempt from registration and road tax. The Honda Dax e: showcases a high-set handlebar, telescopic front suspension, disc brakes, alloy wheels, a tubular spine, and a battery pack beneath the seat. On the other hand, the Honda Zoomer e: presents a robust external frame, dual circular headlamps, alloy wheels, disc brakes, and dual-sided rear coil spring suspension. Both electric scooters boast an estimated range of 80km per charge.
