Headphone Zone Launches Co-Branded Juzear Defiant IEM, Calls It ‘Best Under ₹10,000’

Headphone Zone has announced the launch of the Headphone Zone x Juzear Defiant, a new co-branded in-ear monitor (IEM) aimed at audiophiles and everyday listeners. The company claims the Defiant is its “best IEM under ₹10,000”, following extensive internal testing and comparisons with competing models.

Hybrid Driver Setup for Balanced Sound

The Defiant features a hybrid driver configuration, combining a 10mm dynamic driver with three balanced armature drivers. According to the company, the tuning has undergone six iterations to achieve a sound profile that is balanced, detailed, and engaging without being overly colored.

The driver setup is designed to deliver deep bass, clear mids, and refined highs, ensuring a cohesive listening experience across different genres.

Two Variants for Different Use Cases

The IEM is available in two variants tailored to different user needs. The Audiophile Edition, priced at ₹8,999, includes interchangeable 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced connectors, making it suitable for dedicated audio players and high-end sources.

The Everyday Edition, priced at ₹9,999, adds a USB Type-C termination with a built-in DAC for direct smartphone connectivity, along with an inline microphone for calls, making it more versatile for daily use.

Premium Build and Accessories

Both variants come with the FLARE hybrid cable, featuring 280 strands of 6N single crystal copper and silver-plated copper. The package also includes a premium leatherette carry case and multiple eartip options to ensure a comfortable and customizable fit.

The IEM shells are crafted from medical-grade resin using DLP 3D printing, designed to match the natural contours of the ear for long listening sessions. Additional features such as a triple-path acoustic duct system and pressure balancing design help improve soundstage, reduce distortion, and enhance comfort.

Engineered for Performance and Value

The Defiant incorporates a gold-plated PCB crossover circuit with high-tolerance components for precise frequency separation. The dynamic driver uses a carbon-PU diaphragm and neodymium magnet, delivering controlled bass performance typically seen in higher-priced audio gear.

Competing with Established IEMs

Headphone Zone states that the Defiant was tested against popular models such as Truthear Hexa and Simgot Supermix 4, as well as higher-priced IEMs, and was found to deliver competitive or superior performance in its price segment.

Designed for Both Beginners and Enthusiasts

The company positions the Defiant as a versatile option suitable for both first-time audiophiles and experienced listeners. Its tuning and feature set aim to strike a balance between accessibility and high-fidelity performance, making it suitable as both an entry-level IEM and a daily driver.
