Headphone Zone has partnered with ddHiFi to launch two new co-branded in-ear monitors (IEMs), Iris and Skyfall, priced at ₹2,999 and ₹3,999 respectively. Designed in collaboration with ddHiFi founder Demond Ding, the products are aimed at bringing premium materials and construction to the budget audio segment in India.
First Budget IEMs with Solid Resin Shell Construction
The Iris and Skyfall are positioned as the first budget IEMs to feature fully solid 3D-printed medical-grade resin shells, a design approach typically seen in high-end models such as Moondrop Blessing 3 and DITA Audio Project M. This construction enhances durability and eliminates common issues found in hollow resin or metal designs.
Premium Driver Materials at Entry-Level Pricing
Both IEMs introduce advanced driver materials rarely seen at this price point. The Iris features a beryllium-plated diaphragm, while the Skyfall uses a nano-titanium diaphragm, offering improved sound performance and clarity compared to typical budget offerings.
Iris Focuses on Vocal-Centric Audio Experience
The Iris is a single dynamic driver IEM with a 10mm driver, tuned to emphasise vocals and instruments. Unlike the bass-heavy or V-shaped tuning common in this segment, Iris delivers a more balanced presentation, making it suitable for genres such as rock, acoustic, pop, R&B, and jazz.

Skyfall Delivers Hybrid Driver Performance
The Skyfall features a hybrid configuration with one dynamic driver and one balanced armature, supported by a two-way crossover system. It is tuned for a warm, full-bodied sound with relaxed treble, making it ideal for extended listening sessions and genres like cinematic music, hip-hop, and electronic tracks.
Hand-Painted Design Makes Each Unit Unique
Both models feature hand-painted faceplates with marbled finishes, with Iris in green and Skyfall in blue. Since the designs are created manually, each unit is unique, offering a one-of-a-kind aesthetic for every user.
Built for Durability and Long-Term Use
The solid resin construction ensures enhanced durability by eliminating internal gaps and structural seams. This design approach reduces the risk of cracking or splitting, delivering a build quality typically reserved for higher-priced IEMs.
Availability Across Online and Offline Channels
The Headphone Zone x ddHiFi Iris and Skyfall are available via the official Headphone Zone website and can also be experienced at the brand’s Experience Studio in Mumbai, along with Headphone Connect events across India.
Elevating Budget Audiophile Experience
With Iris and Skyfall, Headphone Zone and ddHiFi aim to redefine expectations in the budget IEM category, bringing together premium materials, refined tuning, and unique design at accessible price points for India’s growing audiophile community.
Leadership Quote
“We went to ddHiFi for a new project aimed at the Indian audiophile community,” said Raghav Somani, Founder and CEO of Headphone Zone. “An IEM that represented value for money for a beginner audiophile. But Demond asked us why India needed another budget IEM. And really, it didn’t. So he said, why not do something that’s never been done before in the budget segment? That conversation became the Iris and Skyfall.”
