Google has introduced a new addition to its Meet, called ’emoji reactions’-Details

Google has announced that it is introducing a new feature called “emoji reactions” on its video-communication service “Google Meet” to enhance connection and engagement among users. With this new feature, users will be able to express their reactions during meetings by using emojis. The feature is now available on “Google Meet on Web, Meet Hardware devices, and iOS” with Android support coming soon, according to a statement by Google in a Workspace Updates blog post.

With the new emoji reactions feature, users will be able to express their emotions during a meeting by sending an emoji, which will appear as a small badge on the left side of the sender’s video tile. Additionally, when multiple users engage in this feature, there will be a display of multiple emojis on the left side of the screen, allowing for a more interactive and engaging experience.

“In-meeting reactions provide a lightweight, non-disruptive way to engage and participate in meetings without interrupting the speaker,”.The statement was made by the company.

To use the emoji reactions feature, users must select the smiley icon in the control bar to access the reaction bar. Once the bar is open, users can choose the skin tone that they prefer, which will be applied to all emojis that are subject to change color. This will allow users to personalize their reactions and make them more meaningful.
