Among the standout changes is the complete separation of photo and video tabs within the app, making it easier for users to switch between modes. Instead of a combined approach, a dedicated switch under the mode selection bar will display tabs specific to photo or video, streamlining navigation.
Key modifications
- Separation of Photo and Video Tabs: Photo and video modes will be distinct, enhancing accessibility and user-friendliness.
- Removal of the “More” Tab: The “More” tab will be phased out, with video stabilization modes integrated into the quick settings.
- Quick Settings: Swiping up will now open the quick settings menu, reversing the current method.
- Settings Button Relocation: The shortcut for settings will shift to the bottom left-hand corner of the app.
- Zoom Slider for Pixel 6 Series: The Pixel 6 series will receive the zoom slider feature from the Pixel 7 in this update.
- Icon Change: The app’s icon will undergo a slight alteration, appearing slightly larger.
