Garmin India Announces 2-Year Warranty on Select Models Launched After January 2024

Garmin has introduced a new 2-year warranty policy for all watches purchased in India, applicable exclusively to models launched after January 2024. This includes popular lineups such as the Forerunner 165 Series, Fenix 8 Series, Enduro 3, and Instinct 3 Series, along with upcoming eligible models. This extended warranty is part of Garmin’s ongoing effort to provide added value to customers and reinforce the importance of purchasing through authorized channels in India.

Highlighting Risks of Unofficial Purchases and Refurbished Products

The new warranty initiative also aims to educate customers about the risks associated with purchasing Garmin products from unofficial websites or abroad. Such products may only carry a 1-year warranty and could attract additional import duties and GST when serviced in India, in accordance with government regulations. Garmin has observed instances where customers unknowingly purchased unused, refurbished, or discontinued products without being informed that these items are not eligible for any warranty—leading to dissatisfaction during after-sales service.

Exclusive Exchange Program for Affected Customers

To address the concerns of mis-sold products, Garmin India has launched a one-time, limited-period exchange program. From June 1 to June 30, 2025, eligible customers can exchange their mis-sold watches—supported by a valid tax invoice—for substantial discounts. Garmin is offering 50% off on the Venu Sq 2 and 25% off on other Garmin watch models, subject to stock availability.

Simple Process for Availing the Exchange Offer

Customers wishing to participate in the exchange program can initiate the process by emailing their concern to marketing@garmin-india.com. Garmin’s support team will acknowledge the request and provide further instructions. If the customer is found eligible, the benefit will be extended within 15 days of query submission.

Garmin strongly encourages all customers to make purchases only through the official Garmin India website or authorized retail partners. This ensures that customers receive products eligible for service and warranty and are protected from the risks associated with discontinued or non-serviceable items.
