Corsair, a leading global provider of high-performance gaming peripherals, today announced the launch of the K70 MAX Magnetic-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The K70 MAX is the first keyboard with adjustable CORSAIR MGX magnetic-mechanical switches, which give users unprecedented control over the actuation point of each key.
What’s new?
The CORSAIR MGX switches in the K70 MAX can be adjusted in 0.1mm increments from 0.4mm to 3.6mm. This means that users can fine-tune the feel and responsiveness of each key to their own personal preferences. For example, gamers can set the actuation point of their WASD keys to be lower for faster input, while typists can set the actuation point of their spacebar to be higher for more comfortable typing.
In addition to adjustable actuation, the CORSAIR MGX switches also support dual-point actuation. This allows users to set two different actions for each key. For example, a user could set the left control key to perform a light press action, such as walking, and a hard press action, such as sprinting.
Amazing features
The K70 MAX also features a new Rapid Trigger mode, which will be available via firmware update later in Q3. Rapid Trigger mode unlocks per-key hyper-responsiveness, giving users a competitive edge in FPS and other fast-paced games. With Rapid Trigger enabled, keys reset immediately when they travel upward, giving the K70 MAX the advantage over traditional mechanical keyboards for fast re-presses and input changes.
The K70 MAX also includes the trademark premium build that defines CORSAIR K70 performance and reliability. The keyboard features an aluminum frame, two layers of sound dampening, and a detachable magnetic palm rest. The K70 MAX is also fully customizable with CORSAIR iCUE software, allowing users to create custom lighting profiles and macros.
