Sunday is the official release of the Xiaomi 13 Pro and the standard Xiaomi 13 in China, a whole week after the devices’ initial unveiling was anticipated to occur. Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphone series utilizes Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-chip (SoC) and is equipped with a rear camera manufactured by Leica. Both the Xiaomi 13 Pro and the regular Xiaomi 13 are available in four different colors, and they improve upon their predecessors the Xiaomi 12 in a number of ways. These ways include the addition of 120Hz OLED displays, a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, & an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.Â
While the 4,820mAh battery found in the recently released Xiaomi 13 Pro allows for 120W of wired charging & 50W of wireless charging, the 4,500mAh battery included in the standard Xiaomi 13 allows for 67W of wired charging with 50W of wireless charging.Â
Price of Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro –
The 8GB + 128GB edition of the Xiaomi 13 Pro costs CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 59,000), while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 5,399. (roughly 64,000). The base model, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space, costs CNY 5,799 (approximately Rs. 68,700), while the flagship variant, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space, costs CNY 6,299. (roughly Rs. 74,600).Â
The 8GB + 128GB model of the Xiaomi 13 costs CNY 3,999 ( Rs. 47,300), while the 8GB + 256GB model costs CNY 4,299 ( Rs. 51,000), and the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 4,599 ( Rs. 54,500). The 12GB RAM / 512GB storage premium model costs CNY 4,999. (roughly Rs. 59,000).Â
Each smartphone can be purchased in your choice of four different ceramic hues: white, black, flora green (Ceramic), or mountain blue. Both Xiaomi products may be pre-ordered now and will be available for purchase in China beginning on December 14.Â
Features of the Xiaomi 13 ProÂ
The 6.73-inch OLED 2K (1,440×3,200 pixels) display on the MIUI 14-powered Xiaomi 13 Pro supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and also has a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz & a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display can reach a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits & supports the DCI-P3 color space. It is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus. The smartphone has an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The processor is manufactured using 4nm technology.Â
The main camera on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with HyperOIS and an f/1.9 aperture, and it is part of a Leica-branded triple rear camera arrangement. In addition to the 115-degree wide-angle sensor and the floating 75mm telephoto sensor with OIS & EIS and f/2 aperture, the camera module also features a 50-megapixel sensor with a similar resolution. Xiaomi has included a 32-megapixel camera at the front of the phone, specifically for selfies.Â
The Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. A USB Type-C port is available alongside 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, Beidu, Glonass, Galileo, and a number of other satellite navigation systems. Accelerometer, color temperature sensor, distance sensor, infrared remote control, electronic compass, gyroscope, and barometer are just some of the sensors on board. Additionally, a linear motor & laser focus sensor is located along the X-axis.Â
The 4,820 mAh battery on the Xiaomi 13 Pro may be charged through 120W or 50W cable or wirelessly. In addition, the phone weighs 210 grams and has dimensions of 162.9 by 74.6 by 8.38 mm. Besides being certified as having Hi-Res audio, it also contains stereo speakers that are compatible with Dolby Atmos. It has a dust & water resistance rating of IP68.Â

The SIM card, software, and hardware of the standard Xiaomi 13 are identical to those of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The base model has a 6.36-inch OLED (1,080 by 2,400-pixel) screen that can refresh at up to 120 hertz, sample touches at up to 240 hertz, cover the DCI-P3 color space, and reach a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. Both HDR 10+ & Dolby Vision can be found on the screen. As for internals, it uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC manufactured on a 4nm process node and supports as much as 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. As an added bonus, it includes 4,642 mm2 of space devoted to VC liquid cooling, which aids in thermal management while playing games.Â
The Xiaomi 13 has a triple rear camera system with a Leica twist, making it an excellent optical device. The primary sensor is 50 megapixels, has an f/1.8 aperture, a 23mm focal length, and HyperOIS; the secondary sensor is 10 megapixels, has OIS, and an f/2.0 aperture; and the ultra-wide sensor is 12 megapixels, also with an f/2.2 aperture.
