Asus Unveils New Laptop Models Featuring OLED Displays and Latest Processors

Asus has introduced two new laptop models to its lineup the Asus Vivobook S series and the Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406). These laptops come equipped with OLED displays and run on some of the latest AMD and Intel processors.

While comprehensive testing of the laptops is pending, the inclusion of the new chips is expected to enhance AI capabilities with dedicated neural processing units, improve power efficiency, and accelerate gaming, multitasking, and editing tasks. Notably, the keyboards of these laptops feature dedicated Copilot keys for convenient access to Windows 11’s AI tools.

The Vivobook S series comprises three models ranging in size from 14 to 16 inches, powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. Additionally, a fourth model, also 16 inches, is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 8040 Series chip. The 14-inch Vivobook S model boasts 120Hz OLED panels for smoother scrolling, while the larger variants offer 3.2K displays.

In contrast, the Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406) is armed solely with the AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor. Although limited to a 60Hz panel, the laptop features USB-C ports, a HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, mirroring the connectivity options of the Vivobook series. However, it does not include a microSD card reader.

The Vivobook S series starts at $749 and is available at Walmart, catering to budget-conscious consumers seeking high-performance laptops. On the other hand, the Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406) is priced at $999.99 in its base configuration and can be purchased from the Asus store.
