ASUS ROG Phone 7 announced in India starting at Rs. 74999

ASUS has recently unveiled the highly anticipated ROG Phone 7, the latest addition to their gaming smartphone lineup, in both the Indian and global markets, as previously promised. The device features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with an impressive 165Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth and immersive gaming experiences. Notably, the ROG Phone 7 is powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, offering powerful performance for gaming enthusiasts. The Ultimate version of the phone boasts up to 16GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming capabilities for hardcore gamers.

ASUS has incorporated an upgraded GameCool 7 thermal system in the ROG Phone 7, which the company claims is their most advanced cooling solution to date. The thermal system employs a three-pronged approach to keep the CPU cool during gaming sessions. For short gaming sessions, a Boron Nitride (BN) thermal compound is applied on one side of the CPU to reduce throttling. For mid-length gaming sessions, a larger vapor chamber and graphite sheets on the other side of the CPU provide effective heat dissipation. This multi-faceted thermal system is designed to ensure optimal performance and prevent overheating during extended gaming sessions on the ROG Phone 7.

The ROG Phone 7 features the AeroActive Cooler 7, which has a fan positioned directly over the CPU module and utilizes a Peltier element for AI-powered active cooling, providing enhanced cooling performance during intensive gaming sessions.

The phone boasts twin front-firing speakers measuring 12 x 16 mm, which offer 50% more effective volume and result in 20% stronger bass performance. The AeroActive Cooler 7 also includes a five-magnet, super-linear subwoofer measuring 13 x 38 mm, which enhances bass performance by up to 77%, delivering immersive 2.1 sound for games and entertainment, according to ASUS.

The ROG Phone 7 is equipped with AirTrigger ultrasonic sensors on the side of the phone, which can be mapped to on-screen touch controls for various actions like tapping, sliding, pressing, and lifting. The phone also features gyroscope aiming for precise control and vibration mapping that allows haptic feedback to be mapped to on-screen buttons, enhancing the gaming experience.

In terms of durability, the ROG Phone 7 comes with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, an improvement from the IPX4 rating in the ROG Phone 6. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for convenient and secure unlocking.

The camera setup on the ROG Phone 7 includes a 50-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, along with a 13-megapixel 125° ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a new 32-megapixel front camera for high-quality photography and video capture.

Yes, the ROG Phone 7 features the iconic ROG (RGB light) logo on the back, and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate version comes with an additional ROG Vision color PMOLED display on the back, allowing for customizable graphics and animations.

One of the notable features of the ROG Phone 7 is the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack, which provides convenient audio connectivity options. The phone also includes symmetrical dual front-facing speakers with Dirac HD Sound for an immersive audio experience during gaming and multimedia consumption.

The ROG Phone 7 is powered by a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery, which is designed to provide long-lasting battery life during extended gaming sessions. It also supports 65W HyperCharge fast charging, allowing for quick and efficient charging to keep the phone powered up and ready for gaming on-the-go.
