Apple iPhone 15 Pro suggest that there may be some changes to the design

The launch of the Apple iPhone 15 series is still months away, but rumors about its features and specifications continue to surface. Recently, leaked CAD images were shared in a video on the Chinese version of TikTok and later posted to Twitter by ShrimpApplePro. These leaks suggest that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may have a unified volume and mute button.

The current iPhone models feature separate buttons for volume up and down. However, the leaked CAD images indicate that the new high-end iPhone 15 series may feature a unified volume button. Additionally, the images suggest that the mute switch, which has been present on iPhones since 2007, may be replaced with a mute button that can be pressed to turn the iPhone’s ringer on or off.

There are rumors that the new iPhone 15 series may come with a solid-state design, which could allow the volume and mute buttons to provide haptic feedback through two additional Taptic Engines inside the phone. This feature would simulate the feeling of movement, similar to the Home button on the latest iPhone SE or the Force Touch trackpad on modern MacBooks.

According to recent reports, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will retain the original mute switch and two physical buttons for volume up and down, while the higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may feature a unified volume and mute button, as well as thinner bezels than ever before. In fact, a recent video shared by tipster Ice Universe suggests that the bezels on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could be as thin as 1.55mm, which would be the thinnest bezels yet seen on an iPhone.

The Dynamic Island feature is rumored to be expanded to more models with the iPhone 15 series, including the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Currently, the Dynamic Island feature is available only on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but it is expected to be introduced on the upcoming models.
