Apple Announces Price Reduction for 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2

During the recent WWDC keynote, Apple unveiled a 15-inch MacBook Air equipped with an M2 processor, alongside the introduction of the latest operating system for their devices. Following this release, Apple has now officially reduced the prices of the 13.6-inch MacBook Air with M2 in several markets, which are already visible on their official website.

13.6-inch MacBook Air M2 has received a permanent price reduction

The 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2 has received a permanent price reduction of $100, with varying prices depending on the region. In the US and Canada, the laptop now costs $1,100 and C$1,450 respectively. In the UK and Germany, it is priced at EUR 1,150 and EUR 1,300 respectively. In the Indian market, the MacBook Air M2 is now cheaper by Rs 5,000, bringing the price down to Rs 1,14,900. These prices mentioned are for the base model of the laptop.

In contrast, the newly launched 15-inch MacBook Air M2 is priced $200 higher at $1,299 for the base model compared to the revised prices of the 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2.

Additionally, the price gap between the 13.6-inch MacBook Air M2 and the 13.3-inch MacBook Air M1 has narrowed. While there are differences in the hardware, the M2 variant offers a slightly taller display with a resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels and 500 nits peak brightness. It also features a 1080p FaceTime camera integrated into the display notch and a quad-speaker setup with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.

It’s important to note that the 13.3-inch MacBook Air M1 can often be found at discounted prices on third-party retailer platforms.
