AKAI India has announced the full market availability of its 2026 Summer Collection, comprising the newly launched Direct Cool refrigerator range and the latest NXT version of Nilgiree inverter air conditioners. The lineup is positioned under the company’s “Har Ghar Zero Summer” campaign, aimed at addressing rising temperatures across India through cooling solutions designed for diverse household needs.
The launch comes as regions including Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and parts of the Indo-Gangetic Plain continue to experience prolonged summer temperatures exceeding 45°C.
Air Conditioners Engineered to Operate in Temperatures up to 55°C
AKAI stated that its NXT Version Nilgiree Split Inverter AC range is designed to maintain cooling performance even when outdoor temperatures reach 55°C.
Available in 1-ton and 1.5-ton variants with 3-star to 5-star energy ratings, the ACs include features such as 9-in-1 Flexi mode, 6-in-1 convertible mode, frost self-clean technology, 100% copper condenser coils, and air purification support through Ayurvedic filters.
The products are intended to support varying room sizes and energy efficiency requirements across Indian households.
New Refrigerator Range Expands ‘Zero Summer’ Concept Beyond Cooling
AKAI’s latest refrigerator portfolio incorporates Deep Direct Cool technology and is designed to support food preservation and cooling needs during peak summer conditions.
The refrigerator lineup includes models ranging from compact 48–100 litre units to larger variants between 165–230 litres. Features include wide voltage compatibility, direct cooling, manual and push defrost systems, soft crispers, brushed finishes, and upcoming glass door designs.
The company said the products are engineered to operate reliably despite voltage fluctuations common during high summer power demand.
Sustainability and Warranty Support Included
The refrigerators use R600a refrigerant, which has zero ozone depletion potential and a comparatively lower environmental impact.
AKAI is offering a 10-year warranty, alongside a 1-year compressor warranty, across the refrigerator range.
Pricing and Availability
The new AKAI refrigerator lineup is available starting at ₹16,398, while the NXT Version Nilgiree air conditioners start at ₹31,490.
Both product categories are available through offline retail channels and the official AKAI India website. The company is also offering no-cost EMI options to support affordability.
