In just five years, Abrari Gadjet Trading, a system integrator startup founded by three engineering graduates, has rapidly grown into a ₹100 crore turnover company. This New Delhi-based firm specializes in integrating component subsystems into cohesive solutions, particularly in education. The founders, Abhishek Kumar Rawat, Ravindra Kumar Pandey, and Ritesh Vishwakarma, have ambitious plans to achieve ₹125 crore in revenue this fiscal year, having already logged ₹35 crore in the first quarter.
A Journey of Rapid Growth and Strategic Focus
The journey of Abrari Gadjet is remarkable, considering the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit shortly after the company’s inception in February 2019. Despite these hurdles, the company has seen exponential growth, with revenue jumping from ₹34 crore two years ago to ₹75 crore last year.
Abrari Gadjet’s success is largely attributed to its focus on the education sector, where it has secured major projects with prestigious institutions. Last year, the company delivered comprehensive IT solutions to The GL Bajaj Institute of Technology in Noida, The KR Mangalam University Centres in Haryana, and Cambridge Schools in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Major Projects and Impact
One of the standout projects for Abrari Gadjet was at The GL Bajaj Institute of Technology, Noida, where the company supplied 2,000 Lenovo laptops valued at ₹8 crore, along with 2,500 HP and Lenovo desktops, totaling ₹12 crore. This project alone is expected to benefit around 15,000 students who will utilize these desktops in various lab facilities across the campus.
Similarly, at KR Mangalam University on Sohna Road, Bahadurgarh, and Gurgaon, Abrari supplied 450 desktops, a mix of HP and Lenovo products, valued at approximately ₹6 crore. This project also included the installation of CCTV cameras, UPS power solutions, and allied software, further enhancing the educational infrastructure.
Another significant project involved the installation of 130 smart classrooms across Cambridge Schools in the NCR and Kendriya Vidyalayas, benefitting around 12,000 students. This ₹6-7 crore project utilized Samsung and Acer products to create advanced digital classrooms, promoting a healthier and more efficient learning environment.
Background of the Founders
The three founders of Abrari Gadjet, Abhishek Kumar Rawat, Ravindra Kumar Pandey, and Ritesh Vishwakarma, are all graduates of Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya in Bhopal, where they completed their B.Tech degrees in the 2007-2011 batch. Abhishek is a computer engineer, while Ravindra and Ritesh are electronic engineers. After a brief stint in various jobs, they decided to take the entrepreneurial plunge and established Abrari Gadjet, which has since been “going places,” as Abhishek Kumar Rawat describes.
Vision and Future Plans
Abhishek Kumar Rawat explains that the company’s objective is to give businesses a clearer vision and use IT to make informed decisions. “We want businesses to have clearer vision, enable them to use objectivity and IT to make the right business decisions. As a company, we provide ICT infrastructure solutions that are innovative, flexible, future-ready and cost-effective.”
With its sights set on further growth, Abrari Gadjet continues to expand its presence in the education sector, with plans to implement school labs for the Apeejay school network in NCR, benefitting approximately 2,000 students. The company’s rapid ascent in the industry is a testament to the founders’ vision, strategic focus, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
