Prime Minister Narendra Modi Meets Elon Musk, Discusses Tech Accessibility, and Invites Investments in India.
During his visit to the United States, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, as well as the owner, CTO, and chairman of Twitter. According to an official release, PM Modi commended Musk for his endeavors in making technology accessible and affordable across various sectors.
PM Modi also extended an invitation to Musk to explore investment opportunities in India, particularly in the field of electric mobility and the rapidly expanding commercial space sector.
During a brief interaction with the press following the meeting with PM Modi, Elon Musk revealed his plans to visit India in the upcoming year. When asked about the launch of Tesla in India, Musk expressed his confidence, stating, “I am confident that Tesla will be in India, and we will do so as soon as humanly possible.”
“I would like to thank PM Modi for his support and hopefully, we will be able to announce something in the future.
India has more promise than any large country in the world. It is quite likely there will be a significant investment in India.
