Thanks to @OnLeaks, the first set of renders for OnePlus’ inaugural foldable phone has surfaced. These renders reveal notable features such as Hasselblad branding, an alert slider, and a leather-like finish on the back. However, there may also be alternative variants with a glass back.
The presence of antenna bands in the renders suggests that the phone will come with a metal frame. Reports indicate that the phone will boast triple rear cameras, including a periscope camera, with the flash located on the left corner, outside the camera cut-out.
Furthermore, the phone is expected to incorporate a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. While the punch-hole camera for the outer display is positioned at the top center, the images indicate that it will be located on the left side for the outer screen.
Although the exact screen size remains unknown, the outer screen appears to be sizable and notably different from the smaller 9:8.4 aspect ratio screen found on the OPPO Find N2.
As for the launch date, OnePlus has confirmed that the foldable phone will be released in the second half of 2023, with rumors pointing to a potential August launch. Notably, the company has already trademarked the names OnePlus V Fold and V Flip with the China National Intellectual Property Administration, indicating that “V Fold” could be the official name for the phone.
