Bharat Vidya, an online learning portal for Oriental & South Asian Studies, will be unveiled by Nirmala Sitaraman, the Union Finance Minister. The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute is responsible for creating the Bharat Vidya (BORI).
The first of its type, Bharat Vidya will provide users with access to both paid and free courses on a wide range of topics within Indology, including the visual arts, the built environment, philosophy, language, and the sciences. Veda Vidya, Bharatiya Darshanshastra, Sanskrit learning, the 18 Parvas of the Mahabharata, the Fundamentals of Archaeology, & Kalidasa and Bhasha would be the first six courses offered in the Bharat Vidya. When it comes to giving credits for its classes, BORI will work with both Indian & international institutions. Nirmala Sitaraman, minister of finance, stated at the opening ceremony that all curriculum presented was in line with the NEP 2020.
