To accelerate business value for its global enterprise clients, Infosys has introduced a Private 5G-as-a-Service, which provides clients with a flexible pay-as-you-go option.
Infosys has stated that its wireless 5G capabilities and Private Network Management solution will enable businesses to benefit from high bandwidth, low latency, and reliable wireless connectivity. The IT services company has designed its Private 5G-as-a-Service to reduce deployment complexity and cater to the unique needs of its clients. Furthermore, it has already integrated the 5G stack from multiple product vendors and tested it against different use case requirements.
Infosys’ statement claims that Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC), a feature of its Private 5G-as-a-Service, can reduce network lag by decreasing the data processing time.
The statement also suggests that this capability enables reliable network operation for a range of IoT/industrial IoT applications, as well as high-bandwidth enterprise use cases such as real-time analytics using drones, remote-guided vehicles, high-definition media and video analytics, metaverse solutions, and others.
