Digit Insurance Managing Director and CEO Jasleen Kohli has won the Woman Leader of the Year Award at the 30th Asia Insurance Industry Awards (AIIA) 2026, held in Singapore. Organised by Asia Insurance Review, the awards recognise achievements across the insurance industry.
This marks Kohli’s second consecutive win in the category. She previously received the Woman Leader of the Year title in 2025 and was a finalist in 2024.
Recognition for Digit Insurance’s Technology-Led Growth
According to the award citation, Kohli was recognised for leading Digit’s growth from an early-stage insurtech company to one of India’s youngest publicly listed insurers.
The jury highlighted the company’s use of technology across its operating model, with real-time data informing decisions related to pricing and policy terms. This approach has helped Digit make faster business decisions while simplifying insurance processes for customers and partners.
Under Kohli’s leadership, the company has focused on technology, simplicity and customer experience as key parts of its business strategy.
Digit Insurance Shortlisted in Two Company Award Categories
Digit Insurance also secured recognition in the company award categories at the 2026 edition. It was the only Indian insurer shortlisted in a company award category this year.
The company was among the top three finalists for Digital Insurer of the Year and Technology & AI Initiative of the Year.
Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2026: Entries and Winners
The 30th Asia Insurance Industry Awards received close to 185 entries across 16 categories, according to the organisers. Finalists were selected through a multi-stage evaluation process involving insurance industry leaders, with KPMG independently scrutinising the process.
The 2026 edition presented 16 trophies to 14 winners from across Asia. Kohli’s consecutive recognition adds to Digit Insurance’s presence at the regional industry awards.
Leadership Comment
Commenting on the recognition, Jasleen Kohli, MD & CEO, Digit Insurance, said, “It is a great honour to receive this recognition. Leading Digit has been one of the most fulfilling journeys, made meaningful by the people who are part of it. Leadership is as much about creating opportunities for others to grow and succeed as it is about taking an organisation forward. This recognition reflects the collective passion and commitment of the teams at Digit, who continue to inspire us to aim higher.”
