UltraProlink Fire Shield Safety Bag Launched for Power Banks and Lithium Batteries

UltraProlink has introduced Fire Shield, a fire-resistant safety bag designed to provide an additional layer of protection while storing and transporting compatible power banks, lithium-ion batteries, LiPo batteries and portable battery packs.

The company says the product is designed with safety in mind for use during travel as well as at home, in offices and vehicles. Beyond batteries, Fire Shield can also be used to store selected valuables and personal essentials such as passports, bank cards, important documents, jewellery and gold.

Three-Layer Construction for Fire and Water Protection

UltraProlink Fire Shield features a three-layer protective construction combining silicone-coated fiberglass, fiberglass fabric and an aluminium foil inner layer. The company says this construction creates a protective barrier around compatible batteries and power banks.

The safety bag also features a LiPo-safe thermal shield and fire-resistant stitching around the bag. Its safety performance is SGS and UL94 verified.

The dual secure closure is water-resistant, providing additional protection against incidental moisture and accidental spills. The compact design is intended to make the bag convenient to carry in luggage and backpacks.

Fire Shield Supports Power Banks Up to 25000mAh

The Fire Shield is designed to store most compatible power banks with capacities of up to 25000mAh, along with suitable lithium-ion batteries and portable battery packs.

UltraProlink advises users to check the physical dimensions of their battery or power bank before purchase to ensure a suitable fit.

Safety Bag Can Also Store Valuables

Beyond battery storage, Fire Shield can be used to keep selected personal essentials together in one place. These include passports, credit and debit cards, important documents, jewellery, gold and other small valuables.

The bag is designed to provide an additional protective layer when such items are stored at home, in an office or inside a vehicle in the event of a fire outbreak.

Designed for Safer Travel with Power Banks

UltraProlink says Fire Shield is designed to support safer storage and transport of compatible power banks and lithium batteries, including during air travel.

The company states that passengers should continue to follow the latest applicable DGCA regulations as well as the requirements of their airline and airport when carrying such products.

Fire Shield is positioned as an additional safety measure and does not replace applicable travel or aviation requirements.

UltraProlink Clarifies Fire Containment Limitations

UltraProlink says Fire Shield is designed to help reduce the spread of fire caused by a power bank or lithium-ion battery and minimise risk during storage and transport.

However, the company does not guarantee complete fire containment. The Fire Shield should therefore not be considered a substitute for appropriate fire-safety measures.

UltraProlink Fire Shield Price and Availability

The UltraProlink Fire Shield Fire-Resistant Safety Bag is priced at INR 1,299. It is available through UltraProlink.com and Amazon.in.

With its three-layer construction, LiPo-safe thermal shield, fire-resistant stitching and water-resistant closure, the UltraProlink Fire Shield is designed to provide an additional protective layer for compatible power banks, lithium batteries and selected valuables during storage and transport.

Leadership Comment

“At UltraProlink, we wanted to address a very practical concern — how you store and carry power banks and lithium batteries, especially with some many restrictions being imposed by airlines & airport authorities worldwide. At the same time, we also designed it to be useful beyond batteries, giving you a dedicated protective pouch for your most important personal essentials – passport, cash, cards, etc. It is engineered to provide an additional layer of protection and designed to help reduce risk from or during a fire.” – Pankaj Mirchandani, Founder & CEO, UltraProlink.
