Acer has expanded its gaming laptop portfolio in India with the launch of the new Nitro 5 Series, comprising the Nitro 5 and Nitro 5 Pro. The new laptops were announced at the Next@Acer India event held in Delhi on August 10 and are designed for gamers, students, creators, and users seeking high-performance computing.
The new Nitro lineup combines Intel Core 14th Gen HX processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series and RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, high-refresh-rate displays, advanced cooling, and Acer’s Nitro Control Centre.
Acer Nitro 5 Offers Gaming and Everyday Performance
The Acer Nitro 5 is designed to provide a balance of gaming performance, productivity, and everyday usability. Depending on the configuration, the laptop is available in Herald Grey and Black colour options.
The laptop can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series or RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. It features a 16-inch Full HD+ display with 1920 × 1200 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB colour coverage, and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz.
The Nitro 5 supports up to 32GB DDR5 5600MHz memory and up to 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. Connectivity options include Intel Wi-Fi 6E, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and RJ-45 Ethernet.
Different Nitro 5 Configurations
The RTX 4050 configuration of the Nitro 5 is available in Herald Grey and features a 62Wh battery and Nahimic Audio. The RTX 5050 configuration comes in Black and features a 73Wh battery and Sound Blaster Studio+ audio.
The battery capacity and audio system therefore vary according to the selected configuration.
Acer Nitro 5 Pro Brings RTX 50 Series Features
The Nitro 5 Pro is positioned as the higher-performance model in the new lineup and is available with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 and RTX 5050 Laptop GPU configurations.
The RTX 4050 configuration comes in Herald Grey with a 62Wh battery and Nahimic Audio, while the RTX 5050 configuration is available in Black with a 73Wh battery and Sound Blaster Studio+ audio.
The RTX 5050 variant is based on NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and supports technologies including DLSS 4, 5th Generation Tensor Cores, advanced ray tracing, NVIDIA Reflex 2, and NVIDIA Studio. These features are designed to enhance gaming visuals, frame rates, latency, and AI-powered creative workloads.
16-Inch Display with 165Hz Refresh Rate
Both Nitro 5 Series models feature a 16-inch 16:10 Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200. The panel offers up to a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour coverage.
The higher refresh rate is aimed at providing smoother visuals during gaming, while the 16:10 aspect ratio provides additional vertical screen space for productivity and creative applications.
Dual-Fan Cooling and Nitro Control Centre
Acer has equipped the Nitro 5 Series with a dual-fan, dual-intake, dual-exhaust cooling system designed to maintain performance during extended gaming sessions and demanding workloads.
The Nitro Control Centre gives users control over performance modes, fan speeds, power settings, and keyboard lighting. The laptops also feature a 4-zone RGB illuminated keyboard, HD webcam, and Copilot key.
Depending on the configuration, users also get either Nahimic Audio or Sound Blaster Studio+.
Price and Availability of Nitro 5 Series
The Acer Nitro 5 and Nitro 5 Pro will be available at a starting price of ₹167,990, along with cashback offers of up to ₹10,000.
The laptops will be sold through Acer Exclusive Stores, Acer E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. Both models will be available in Herald Grey and Black configurations, with GPU, battery, audio and colour specifications varying by configuration.
