Headphone Zone Brings Snowsky DISC Digital Audio Player to India at ₹8,999

Headphone Zone has introduced the Snowsky DISC digital audio player in India at a price of ₹8,999. Developed by Snowsky, the device is designed for music enthusiasts seeking a dedicated listening experience away from the distractions of smartphones and apps.

The launch comes at a time when dedicated digital audio players are witnessing renewed interest among listeners who prefer focused music playback without notifications, social media, or multitasking interruptions.

A Modern Music Player Inspired by the CD Era

One of the most distinctive aspects of the Snowsky DISC is its design, which draws inspiration from classic portable CD players.

The player features a round IPS full-view color touchscreen that displays album artwork and scrolling lyrics, complemented by retro-inspired user interface themes. The device is housed in an aluminum alloy body and is available in Sky Blue, Black, and Pink color options.

While the nostalgic design is intended to evoke the era of portable music players, the hardware inside is focused on delivering a modern high-resolution audio experience.

Dual DAC Setup Targets Audiophiles

At the heart of the Snowsky DISC are dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips configured in a fully balanced architecture.

The player offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, along with an output power rating of 280mW + 280mW at 32 ohms, enabling it to drive a wide range of headphones and in-ear monitors.

According to the company, the balanced design is paired with an independent power supply for the headphone amplifier section, helping deliver cleaner audio performance.

The player also includes eight preset EQ modes and multiple digital filters for users who want to customize their listening experience.

Focused on Music Playback

The Snowsky DISC is powered by an Ingenic X2000 dual-core processor and runs a custom Linux-based operating system called Pure Audio.

Unlike smartphones, the device is designed specifically for music playback and does not include an app ecosystem, helping users focus solely on listening.

Multiple Connectivity Options

Beyond functioning as a standalone music player, the Snowsky DISC supports a variety of connectivity options.

It can operate as a USB DAC for smartphones, tablets, and computers, while OTG support allows it to function as a digital transport for external USB DACs.

Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth with LDAC support for high-resolution audio streaming and Wi-Fi with AirPlay compatibility. The player also includes a coaxial output for integration with home audio systems.

Expandable Storage and Long Battery Life

Storage is handled through a microSD card slot supporting cards of up to 2TB, allowing users to carry extensive offline music libraries.

The device is powered by a 1450mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver more than 10 hours of playback on a single charge.

Price and Availability of Snowsky DISC Digital Audio Player

The Snowsky DISC Digital Audio Player is available through Headphone Zone at a price of ₹8,999.

The player is offered in Sky Blue, Black, and Pink color variants and comes with a one-year warranty from FiiO covering manufacturing defects.

Leadership Quote

“The phone is brilliant at a hundred things, which is exactly why it is a distraction when you actually want to sit down and listen. The Snowsky DISC does one thing. You put your music on a microSD card, you put on a good pair of headphones, and you listen, properly, the way you used to. I did not expect to enjoy something this much at this price. It sounds far better than it has any right to, and the round screen made me smile every time I picked it up.” – Raghav Somani, Founder and CEO, Headphone Zone.
