Sony India has expanded its premium gaming audio portfolio with the launch of the new Sony INZONE H6 Air, and the response from the gaming community has already started building excitement among PC and console gamers. Announced on May 14, the latest addition to Sony’s INZONE lineup is being positioned as a major upgrade for players looking for immersive sound, lightweight comfort, and long-hour gaming performance.
Sony Brings Ultra-Light Gaming Experience to Indian Gamers
One of the biggest highlights generating buzz around the new INZONE H6 Air is its ultra-lightweight design. Weighing just 199 grams without the microphone and cable, the headset is now the lightest model in Sony’s INZONE gaming range. This has become a major talking point among gamers who spend long hours in competitive multiplayer sessions and want a headset that feels comfortable throughout the day.
Sony has introduced a newly engineered wire-band and suspender-style structure that reduces pressure on the head while maintaining a secure fit. The slimmer hanger sections and lightweight internal materials are designed to improve comfort without compromising durability. The company says the new spring hinge mechanism also helps deliver better balance and stability during extended gameplay.
360 Spatial Sound Promises Immersive Gameplay
Gamers are particularly excited about the headset’s advanced open-back acoustic design, which aims to create a realistic three-dimensional soundstage. Sony says the headset is tuned to deliver highly accurate positional audio, helping players hear enemy movements and environmental details more clearly in fast-paced games.
The headset also supports 360 Spatial Sound, allowing players to experience enhanced directional awareness in genres like FPS and RPG games. Sony has additionally introduced a specially tuned RPG/Adventure equalizer profile developed in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment to improve immersion and audio depth during gameplay.
The company claims the headset’s optimized driver units, inspired by professional-grade open-back monitor headphones, deliver rich bass, lower distortion, and improved audio separation for a more competitive gaming experience.
Premium Aluminium Design Adds Stylish Appeal
Apart from performance, the new INZONE H6 Air is also attracting attention for its premium aluminium housing. Sony says the use of aluminium helps maintain durability while keeping the headset lightweight. The company has designed the headset around three core elements — lightweight construction, superior sound quality, and long-term durability.
Another standout feature is the “Graduated Hole Design,” which includes precisely arranged perforations across the headset housing. Combined with the open-back structure, this design enhances airflow and spatial acoustics while also giving the headset a more premium appearance.
Easy Connectivity Across Devices
Sony has ensured broad compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and devices. The INZONE H6 Air supports PCs, smartphones, and PS5 controllers through both a 3.5mm audio cable and a USB Type-C audio box.
Gamers using PCs can also access additional audio customization options through the INZONE HUB software. The plug-and-play functionality with PS5 controllers and other compatible devices is expected to appeal to users looking for a hassle-free gaming setup.
Price and Availability of Sony INZONE H6 Air
The Sony INZONE H6 Air will be available in Black colour via Amazon and Sony’s Shop at SC portal starting May 2026.
Sony has announced the headset at an MRP of ₹22,990, while the introductory best-buy price has been set at ₹17,990, making it an attractive option for gamers looking to upgrade to a premium open-back gaming headset experience.
