Japanese consumer electronics brand Akai has launched the NXT version of its flagship inverter air conditioner range in India, including the Nilgiree, Kaashmir, and Siaachen series. The new lineup is equipped with the latest BEE Rating 2026, focusing on improved energy efficiency and performance for Indian climatic conditions.

The Nilgiree series continues to target users looking for cost-effective cooling solutions, balancing performance with energy savings. The models are designed to maximise output while minimising power usage, ensuring comfort during peak summer conditions.
Kaashmir Series Offers Year-Round Comfort
The Kaashmir series introduces a hot and cold air conditioning solution, enabling both cooling in summers and heating in winters. This makes it suitable for regions experiencing seasonal temperature variations.
Siaachen Series Built for Extreme Conditions
The Siaachen range is engineered for heavy-duty performance, capable of cooling even when external temperatures reach up to 55°C, addressing extreme Indian summer conditions.
Key Features Enhance Performance and Air Quality
The NXT AC range includes features such as Flexi 9-in-1 cooling modes, anti-allergen and anti-viral Ayurvedic filters, and a PM1 filter for removing ultra-fine particles. Additional features include frost self-cleaning, Blue Fin weather-proof coating, 4-way air swing for uniform cooling, and a backlit remote for ease of use.
Availability, Pricing and Service Network
The new Akai inverter ACs are available across India through retail stores and online platforms, starting at ₹35,490. The range is offered in 1-ton, 1.5-ton, and 2-ton capacities with 3-star and 5-star energy ratings. Akai supports the lineup with a service network of over 1,200 centres across 28 states, covering more than 1,900 pin codes, ensuring reliable after-sales support.
