AT-LP5X Turntable
The AT-LP5X refines the award-winning design of the AT-LP5 with several key improvements. It comes with the new AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet stereo cartridge, an upgraded version of the legendary AT95E, pre-mounted on an AT-HS6 head shell. While the factory setup provides excellent audio performance out of the box, users can customize and upgrade their stylus assembly through the VM95 range to suit their preferences.
A significant upgrade is the quartz-locked DC servo direct drive motor, ensuring low noise and stable performance. The turntable now supports three speeds—33, 45, and 78 RPM. With the latter requiring an additional AT-VM95SP stylus (sold separately).
Classic-Inspired Design with Modern Enhancements
The J-shaped tonearm, inspired by Audio-Technica’s classic turntables from the 1960s and 1970s, is designed for smooth playback with minimal tracking errors. A metallic gimbal suspension system and precision bearings, along with adjustable dynamic anti-skate control, prevent unwanted tonearm movement, ensuring optimal sound clarity.
The turntable’s platter is precision-machined from aluminum, ensuring a balanced and stable rotation. The chassis is built with anti-vibration damping materials and heavy-mass internal inserts, effectively reducing resonance for clear, distortion-free sound.
Versatile Connectivity and Digitization
One of the standout features of the AT-LP5X is its built-in switchable Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) phono/line preamp, allowing users to connect directly to home stereo systems, powered speakers, and even computers without requiring a separate phono stage. This plug-and-play setup ensures users can start enjoying their vinyl collection right away.
The external power supply is another upgrade, significantly reducing signal chain noise for a cleaner, more refined audio experience.
The AT-LP5X features a USB output, allowing users to convert their music into digital formats such as MP3 and WAV. Thus, helping those who are looking to digitize their vinyl records.
