Until the release of its mixed-reality headset in 2023, Apple is reportedly still on the hunt for engineers to join teams developing AR & VR technology.Â
According to the article, the mixed-reality headset’s operating system (OS) “is finishing up internally” with the release of its initial version (codenamed “Oak”).Â
Apple wants to construct a video service with 3D content for the headset and is looking for a software developer to make digital material for it.Â
The business is also employing developers to develop tools for linked experiences in a 3D mixed-reality setting, with the goal of bringing third-party applications for the mixed-reality headset to market.Â
Dave Scott, a former senior manager at the corporation who was a part of the self-driving car team and who most recently ran a healthcare startup, has been hired by Apple. Since he has worked in medical & robotics technologies, the newspaper suggests that the headset will have some health-related applications.Â
To prepare for a possible economic slowdown, Apple is reportedly planning to restrict hiring and expenditure growth next year.
