Indian Ed-tech Firm School Diary Expands into Sri Lanka with Lyceum International Schools Partnership

School Diary, an Indian ed-tech company backed by The Chennai Angels, has announced its entry into the Sri Lankan market with a partnership deal from Lyceum International Schools, the largest international school network in the country. This collaboration will see School Diary digitize 10 schools within the Lyceum network, introducing over 21,000 new users to its platform.

Digitizing Education in Sri Lanka

School Diary’s digital platform aims to enhance parent-teacher communication, streamline administrative tasks such as fee management and admissions, and improve student engagement and safety. The company will implement its key features, including real-time updates, attendance tracking, and customized fee payment solutions, all tailored to meet the specific needs of Lyceum International Schools. By doing so, the platform will provide parents and educators with a holistic view of each student’s progress and daily activities.

Child Safety Features for School Transport

A standout feature of School Diary’s platform is its Child Safety Solution for school buses, which enables schools to monitor driver behavior, optimize route planning, and efficiently manage student attendance and dispersal. For parents, this feature provides real-time tracking of their child’s school bus along with automated pick-up and drop-off notifications, ensuring peace of mind regarding their child’s safety.

Global Footprint and Vision

With operations in 13 countries and over 450,000 users globally, School Diary is building a strong international presence. The company has 1100+ lifelong registrations on its platform and aims to become a key digital solution for schools across Asia. The move into Sri Lanka aligns with School Diary’s vision to address underserved markets and expand its digital footprint across the region.

A Strategic Partnership for Growth

Ashish Chaturvedi, Founder of School Diary, expressed his excitement over this expansion, stating, “This is a significant win for us, making us the first movers in the Sri Lankan market. Schools in Sri Lanka are a huge underserved market and have a healthy appetite for tech adoption. We are thrilled to work with Lyceum International Schools as their commitment to quality education aligns with our mission to create seamless, tech-driven communication channels between schools, parents, and educators”.

Looking Ahead

As the demand for digital education platforms grows, School Diary is positioning itself as a leader in the ed-tech industry. With the partnership in Sri Lanka and its continued expansion across Asia, the company is well on its way to achieving its goal of transforming the education sector through technology.
