Bharti Airtel’s IoT arm, Airtel IoT, has joined forces with IntelliSmart Infrastructure Private Limited, a prominent smart metering and digital solutions provider, to embark on an ambitious mission. The strategic partnership aims to deploy a staggering 20 million smart meters across India, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and advanced connectivity solutions.
IntelliSmart Infrastructure, known for its expertise in smart metering solutions, will leverage Airtel’s robust IoT Hub to enable utility providers to effectively track and monitor these smart meters. The partnership places a strong emphasis on deploying advanced analytics for efficient management while ensuring the highest level of reliability. The IoT Hub, supported by Airtel’s cloud network, provides a secure and scalable platform for connecting and managing billions of devices and applications.
This collaboration stands out as one of the most significant deals in the smart metering sector in India. It aligns seamlessly with the Government of India’s ambitious vision of replacing 250 million conventional meters with state-of-the-art smart meters over the next five years, as part of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) initiative.
