Xiaomi and Amazon have unveiled a microsite teasing the upcoming smartphone, signaling a “Join the 5G Revolution” message. Redmi India’s Twitter account also hints at a transformative device that will reshape the industry. The secret device is expected to be the Redmi 12 5G.
The teasers showcase the phone with a boxy form factor, featuring the Redmi logo and “5G” text at the bottom of the back panel. The Moonstone Silver color option matches its 4G counterpart. Specific details about the Redmi 12 5G remain undisclosed at this time.
Recently, the Redmi 12 5G was spotted on Geekbench, revealing a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, 8GB RAM, and Android 13 OS. Rumors suggest that the Redmi 12 5G might be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12R available in China. Expected pricing for the base 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage configuration is around Rs 13,999.
