Samsung Galaxy phone owners can now enjoy the latest July updates, bringing security fixes, bug improvements, and potential new features. The Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4, and the older Galaxy Fold 2 are among the devices receiving these fresh software updates.
The changelogs for the July Galaxy updates primarily focus on the inclusion of up-to-date Android security patches. The Galaxy Fold 2, in addition to security patches, is also getting “performance improvements.”
The new build numbers for each device:
- Galaxy S22: S901USQS3CWF2
- Galaxy S22+: S906USQS3CWF2
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: S908USQS3CWF2
- Galaxy Fold 4: F936USQS3CWF2
- Galaxy Flip 4: F721USQS3CWF2
- Galaxy Fold 2: F916USQS3JWF3
UPDATE 7/13: Other Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A53, and A54, have also received the July update. The Galaxy S23 line has joined the list as well.
UPDATE 7/14: The Galaxy S21 series is the next to receive the July patch.
UPDATE 7/20: The Galaxy S20 line and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 have also received the July updates.
To check for these updates, users can head into Settings > System updates > Check for system updates. The updates should be rolling out gradually from July 6 onwards.
